Be part of an exciting project in Eastbourne.
‘Access Eastbourne' is a web based access and information guide (www.access-eastbourne.org.uk) for disabled people and their families/carers visiting, living and working in the Eastbourne area. ‘Access Eastbourne' provides user-friendly information on the accessibility of individual premises and facilities that are open to the public. Disabled people are also able to place reviews and comments on the website about their experiences when visiting places, and of course the venue will have a right to reply. At it's launch Councillor Andrew Goodwin said "Access Eastbourne is a very exciting and important initiative for our town".
We are seeking disabled people with a range of impairments, who live in or around Eastbourne to become reviewers. This will involve some training on how to conduct a review visit and how to upload reviews onto the database. The dates for the next intake are: Wednesday 10th August and Wednesday 17th August. Both sessions will be from 9.30am until 4.30pm. All are at ESDA, 1 Faraday Close, Eastbourne BN22 9BH. Lunch and refreshments will be provided and travel expenses will be reimbursed.
If anyone is interested please contact Access Eastbourne c/o ESDA, 1 Faraday Close, Eastbourne BN22 9BH, by calling 01323 514500, or by emailing info@esda.org.uk (putting Access Eastbourne in the subject line). Places are limited.
