This is a photo from our very successful 2008 outing to Wakehurst Place, over 20 of our members enjoyed an outing with a sensory tour.

Crowborough branch district committee meet bi-monthly. The committee comprises of Chairman Babette, Treasure Glyn, Secretary Jo, Case secretary Jane, Visitors Hazel Margaret and Rosalie. We also have Pam as a Good Fellowship representative.

Our visitors plus Babette and Jo regularly visit our disabled members to keep them up to date this is also a social visit.

We give small grants for member's essential equipment, to help make their daily lives easier. In the past these have included installing Life Line, buying new wheelchair rims and easy grip cups.

We organise an annual outing for all our members. In 2008 we went to Wakehurst Place, transport and volunteers were provided. We were very grateful to Mid-Sussex Timber who provided our drivers for the day. 18 of us went on a sensory tour. These outing are the highlight of the year for some of our members.

To assist with raising money we do an annual 3-4 mile sponsored walk. These have been on the Forest Way, which is an accessible part of the national cycle network. As well as a street collection in Crowborough and Forest Row.

This is a photo of some of the district committee and volunteers just about to start one of our 3 mile sponsored walks.

 "Crowborough Good Fellowship Group

Originally this club was supported by The Red Cross. When The Red Cross policies changed and funding ceased, the elderly members wished their club to continue. So with support of their members and support from Crowborough ESDA branch, this group has continued to flourish and has around 27 members, with an average age of 80yrs. They have always used the ESDA coaches and their wonderful drivers.  From May to October they go out for a drive, returning to All Saints Churches coffee bar, where a lovely tea has been prepared by our great volunteers Maggie and Margaret. Here their members can have a chat and relax. In the winter months their meetings take the form of Bingo, Quiz's, Talks and slide shows. To mark Christmas they had a visiting choir finishing with a Christmas lunch."
