This course aims to:

  • introduce and explore perspectives on diversity and equality with particular focus on disability;
  • develop participants' knowledge of the kind of barriers which disabled people and others experience and share good practice in removing those barriers;
  • understand key aspects of the Equality Act, and describe the "protected characteristics" in law;
  • introduce and explain how the Social Model can enable organisations to meet legal requirements and provide fair and accessible services and employment opportunities.

Cost is £60 per delegate from the statutory sector and £25 per delegate from the voluntary sector. One bursary per course is available to a disabled delegate from a small voluntary organisation.

 

A deposit of 20% is required to secure your place. We take payment on an invoice basis and accept either BACS or cheque payments.
