From our centre in Eastbourne and through our network of groups, ESDA provides services such as:
Information Service
ESDA provide a free and confidential Information Service where a team of staff, including volunteers maintain an extensive database providing up-to-date local and national information on a wide range of topics relating to disability.
Disabled Living Centre (DLC)
Our DLC is one of over 50 in the UK. It aims to provide professional, impartial and non-commercial information, advice and assessment regarding products and solutions for daily living.
Holidays
Group holidays arranged by ESDA in many locations in the UK and advice on arranging your own holiday.
Social Enterprise
ESDA's Social Enterprise trades under the name of Inclusion Enterprise and serves ESDA's primary purpose. Delivered by disabled professionals to any organisation, its services include: Training in Disability Awareness and Equality and the Disability Discrimination Act for staff at all levels; Consultancy, research, accessibility assessments of employment practice, services delivery, websites, access auditing and mystery shopping; Training for Disabled People in participation and engagement skills.
Local Activities and Services
Across East Sussex, ESDA groups offer social activities including group outings, lunch clubs, home visits or a chance to campaign and lobby on local issues affecting Disabled People.
ESDA's services will vary from time to time depending on sources of funding. This may mean existing services are expanded or closed, or that new services are added.
